What cookies and local storage do
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with certain requests. Local storage and session storage keep values in the browser for a particular origin. Independent embedded games operate on their own origins and can have separate storage. This page complements our Privacy Policy.
Storage used by MCDONALDSMENUUK
This version includes Google Publisher Tag on advertising pages. Google advertising may use cookies or other identifiers subject to the product settings and applicable privacy requirements. No separate first-party analytics integration is configured. It uses mcdonaldsmenuuk.recent to keep up to 20 recently opened games for up to 30 days, mcdonaldsmenuuk.favorites in local storage when you save a game and mcdonaldsmenuuk.discovery in session storage to rotate homepage recommendations. Favorites remain until removed; discovery data normally lasts for the browser tab session. These features do not require a MCDONALDSMENUUK account.
These features work without tracking you across websites. If browser storage is unavailable, browsing still works; saved games may not persist and homepage rotation cannot remember the previous selection. Production hosting may have its own necessary security behavior, which must be reflected in this policy if configured.
Independent game storage
Visiting a MCDONALDSMENUUK detail page does not automatically connect to the game host. Choosing Play opens the dedicated game page and makes that external connection. Games may store settings or progress and may include their own analytics or advertisements. MCDONALDSMENUUK cannot directly read or clear another origin's storage. Use the provider's controls and browser site-data settings. Loading a game is not blanket consent to its optional tracking.
Advertising cookies and identifiers
Google Publisher Tag is configured on the homepage, category pages and game detail pages. Google and permitted advertising vendors may use cookies or identifiers for delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and permitted personalization. Prior consent and a certified CMP must be implemented where required before optional processing. See the advertising and consent sections in our Privacy Policy. This page is not itself a consent-management platform.
Storage categories and the current implementation
It is useful to distinguish website delivery and security, features you request, measurement, and advertising. The catalog's saved-game feature stores only game IDs when you use it; recent history and homepage rotation use the browser data described above. No separate Google analytics integration is configured. The GPT integration may involve advertising cookies or identifiers subject to its configuration and applicable requirements. A category label alone does not establish that a cookie is strictly necessary or exempt from consent requirements.
If new storage is introduced, its purpose, provider, duration and applicable controls must be assessed and disclosed. Provider-owned storage inside an external game is separate from our catalog keys. The browser may block, partition or remove some third-party storage depending on its settings.
Advertising consent records and future vendor storage
An activated CMP may store a consent choice, a choice timestamp, a configuration version, a consent string or other evidence needed to apply and demonstrate the selection. Advertising services can also set or read identifiers where permitted. Their actual names and lifetimes depend on the configured vendors and products; we do not publish a fabricated cookie inventory for services that are not yet enabled.
Before optional advertising storage begins, the deployed controls must provide the required information and respect the applicable consent or opt-out state. The current Privacy choices dialog clears our game-feature keys and is not a certified CMP, a universal cookie blocker or a control over every game provider.
Manage your choices
Use the Privacy choices button in the footer to clear MCDONALDSMENUUK saved games, recently played history and discovery data. Browser settings let you review or delete cookies and block third-party storage. Clearing data can remove game progress or settings. Google personalized-ad preferences can be managed at My Ad Center; industry options are available at DAA WebChoices. These external choices do not necessarily stop all ads or remove existing information.
